Vitalchek.com Review

VitalChek offers to expedite the process of obtaining vital records by allowing you to order online. However, they charge extra fees for this convenience.

Many customer reviews suggest that the service may not always be worth the cost and may not significantly speed up the process.

Red Flags on Vitalchek.com Site

Delays and Cancellations:

Many customers report experiencing significant delays, with some waiting weeks or even months for their documents. Order cancellations without notice or refunds are a common complaint.

High Costs and Limited Value:

VitalChek charges hefty fees for expedited processing and shipping, often exceeding the cost of obtaining the documents directly from the local health department. These “expedited” services often fail to deliver on their promises.

Poor Customer Service:

Reaching customer service can be a nightmare. Long hold times, unanswered emails, and rude responses are frequently reported. Concerns about data security are also prevalent, as customers feel uneasy about sharing sensitive information with a company that has faced criticism for its service.

Unclear Process and Rejections:

The process for submitting documents can be confusing and unclear, leading to frequent order rejections without proper explanations.

Customers’ Reports

The internet store has not proven to be a trusted shopping site with a rating of 1.3 out of 5 on third party. Here are what some customers have said:

I paid for 3 apostille birth certificates a month ago at 60 dollars, and they emailed me it was a success. Never received info about my updates nearly one month later. Went back and checked manage order from the previous email and it said they cancelled my order. I looked at my credit card that was charged November 8, and it they never returned my money or warned me of this cancellation. Which is theft. This is not normal service and I wouldn’t doubt I’m the only person with this issue.

For a $32 birth certificate, you have to pay a $10.50 fee + $18.50 in shipping + $50 for a notarized document + your time and energy for something that should be provided by the government for FREE.

Not

NEVER order from this company! I ordered a certificate from this company and they charged $45 for the certificate + $13.50 as a Vitalchek fee and another $21 as a delivery fee. Then I saw that the delivery date was in about 8 months when I needed this asap so I went down to the city myself and picked up the certificate for $10. So I called Vitalchek to cancel the order and I waited on the phone for about a half hour until someone picked up and told me that they could cancel the order (which was still pending) but their still going to charge me the Vitalchek fee. This company should be shut down. Period.
